This sermon explores the nature of God as a loving, compassionate, and present Father. Drawing from John 14, Exodus 34, Psalm 103, and Romans 8, the pastor challenges common misconceptions of God as a distant, stern ruler and replaces that image with the biblical picture of a Father who sees our pain, hears our cries, and comes down to rescue us. Jesus, as the full expression of the Father, showed us what God is truly like: welcoming the rejected, forgiving the guilty, and laying down His life for us. The sermon also emphasizes that God’s love is lavish, not cautious or measured. He knows each person by name, interferes in our lives out of deep care, and has adopted us as his children and co-heirs with Christ. The pastor uses personal stories of fatherhood to illustrate how pressing into the Father produces fruit in our lives. The call to the congregation is to move beyond a head-knowledge of God and allow a heart-level revelation of the Father to transform how they live, worship, and relate to Him daily.
