The Forgiveness of Sins

Two of the most powerful relationships in a person’s life is the relationship with our Heavenly Father and the relationship with forgiveness. Today from the Apostles’ Creed we look specifically at the line ‘I believe in the forgiveness of sins. In order to effectively do this we need to shift our primary father relationship from earthly to heavenly, recognizing that true value, security, and identity flow from God the Father. Just as Jesus said, ‘If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father,’ followers of Christ are called to increasingly reflect the Father’s character to the world around them, this is stepped in forgiveness.
